An overview of "Ibn Khaldun's Introduction"
“Ibn Khaldun’s Introduction” is one of the most important works in Islamic and world thought. It was written by the brilliant historian **Abd al-Rahman Ibn Khaldun** at the end of the fourteenth century AD as an introduction to his huge book *Kitab al-Ibar*. The introduction provides a comprehensive study of human nature and societies, in which Ibn Khaldun reviews the development of nations, the reasons for the rise and fall of the state, the impact of the environment and people on social development, and an analysis of economic and social concepts in a systematic way unprecedented in his era. Hence, Ibn Khaldun was considered one of the first founders of sociology and systematic historical analysis in the world, and his introduction remains an important intellectual reference for understanding social dynamics throughout the ages.
