Return period:
You have 14 days from the date of receipt to request a return of the books.
Basic requirements:
- The book must be returned in its original, brand-new condition (unread, with its original cover intact, and free from any marks or damage).
- The purchase invoice or order number must be attached.
Free returns (at our expense):
- If there is a defect in the manufacturing or printing (missing or duplicate pages).
- If we send you the wrong book or it is damaged during shipping.
- Returns are subject to a fee (at your expense):
If you change your mind, you may return the book provided that the above conditions are met, and you will bear the return shipping costs and related administrative fees .
Incorrect title:
The customer bears full responsibility for the accuracy of the address he registers during the purchase process.
Please double-check your address during checkout . If delivery fails due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for the redirection costs, or they will be deducted from any refund.

About the book
"Al-Faqih" is a historical novel by the Moroccan writer Hassan Ourid, published in 2025 by the Cultural Center for Books. The novel tells the story of Ahmed bin Qasim al-Hajari, known as Afouqay, an Andalusian who lived during the fall of Andalusia under Christian rule, the rise of the Inquisition, and its persecution of Muslims in the second half of the sixteenth century.
The novel explores the identity conflict between past and present, between the necessity of preserving cultural heritage and the dangers of succumbing to modernity. It also highlights issues of defending history, heritage, and identity by addressing the struggle against injustice and tyranny, and the pursuit of justice, while preserving the values that form the foundation of cultural and civilizational identity.
